Process service is the formal delivery of legal documents, such as subpoenas, summons, complaints, and other court documents, to the person named in the document. This ensures that the recipient is notified of legal actions or proceedings.

Proper process service is required by law to ensure that all parties involved in a legal proceeding are notified. Without proper service, a case may be delayed or dismissed.

Once the documents have been served, you will receive a Proof of Service or Affidavit of Service. This document confirms that the service was completed and provides the details of how and when the service occurred.

The time it takes to serve documents depends on various factors, including the location of the person to be served and their availability. Standard services typically take 2-3 business days, but rush services are available if faster delivery is needed.

If the individual cannot be found, our process servers will make several attempts to locate and serve them. We also use different methods, such as skip tracing, to find individuals who are trying to evade service.

No, you cannot serve the documents yourself if you are a party to the case. Legal documents must be served by a neutral third party who is not involved in the case. Using a professional process server ensures compliance with legal requirements and helps avoid delays or invalid service.
